Preventative Air Conditioning Maintenance

Investing in new air conditioning ticks many cost saving financial boxes and will continue to if a maintenance plan is put in place.

With warranties covering ‘parts only’ we have highlighted a few of the key benefits a maintenance plan will bring as you manage your equipment over time and maximise your investment.

Energy saving

Regular maintenance will avoid your air conditioning system becoming worn or damaged and keep it in the best condition and run efficiently. Faulty parts require more power so you can achieve the best reductions in energy if your unit is in good condition.

Longer life

Continuous preventative maintenance has been proven to extend and sometimes double the life of your unit. Un discovered damage can cause your air conditioning to stop completely. Replacing faulty parts and avoiding the build-up of dirt allows you to repair and not end up with larger problems and the need for new units and additional installation costs.

Better Air Quality

Fresh, clean air is a benefit of air conditioning. Dirt and clogged units will provide poor quality air can even lead to health issues.

Safety

A circuit malfunction or a fire from faulty parts can be avoided with regular maintenance. Managing your equipment reduces the risk of fires and damage to and around the unit.

Planned v Emergency maintenance

As the weather changes we know this is often the time you call for more from your system.  If if it has been some time since it was maintained issues can appear. Emergency maintenance is available but always more costly.

It has been proven many times over that clients find the energy savings achieved from new equipment more than covers a planned maintenance agreement.  This alongside the benefits shown above allow you to maintain your environment as you need to.

Making the Capital Allowance Scheme for your Business

The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme is a key part of the Government’s programme to manage climate change. It provides businesses with enhanced tax relief for investments in equipment that meets published energy-saving criteria.

You claim Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) for energy saving equipment in the same way that you claim capital allowances. This is through your income tax self-assessment or your corporation tax self-assessment return. If your business or organisation does not undertake income or corporation tax self-assessment then it cannot claim capital allowances including ECA.

Ocean Air will advise on how you can achieve maximum savings and identify eligible solutions under the ECA Scheme

The benefits of R32

You may have heard about R32 but do you know the reasons why this next generation refrigerant is so important?

A quick round up of the multiple benefits this new refrigerant brings.

What is R32?

R32 is one of many refrigerants used in air conditioning.  It has replaced the commonly used R22.

What are the benefits?

The environment

R32 has a smaller impact on the environment.  Offering zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and a Global Warning Potential (GWP) that is lower than other refrigerants used in air conditioning.

Energy saving efficiencies

Increased efficiency means electricity usage of your air conditioning units can be reduced by up to 20%.  Widely used in Japan, India and Australia, it is estimated that in Japan alone over 10 million R32 air conditioning units have been installed.

Safety

R32 is a class 2L refrigerant and these present the lowest risk of the 3 flammable categories used in air conditioning units.  Safety is increased with regular maintenance but the addition of R32 usage reduces risk greatly.

Company values

If you are a company that is serious about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) R32 will help you lower your carbon footprint.
